How is Glucose-Fructose Syrup made?

GFS (Glucose-Fructose Syrup) is made from starch by first making a glucose syrup. The linked glucose molecules in starch are hydrolysed into free glucose molecules. Then, with the use of enzymes, some of the glucose is changed into fructose in a process called isomerisation. The starch source is chosen depending on local availability of the raw material suited for the starch extraction process. Maize was most commonly used in the past, but in recent years the use of wheat or rice has increased  .

Our company glucose plant or fructose syrup plant use new technology can produce the Glucose-Fructose Syrup from rice or corn directly , do not need produce the starch first, save the starch processing equipment cost .
