How to make glucose syrup ?

Glucose syrup, also known as confectioner's glucose, is a syrup made from the hydrolysis of starch, such as corn starch, potato starch , cassava starch and so on.   Glucose syrup is also called as corn syrup, since glucose syrup is most commonly made from corn starch.

The traditional technology of glucose production is  produce glucose syrup from starch (mainly is corn starch ) which is we all known.  But now our company have the new technology of glucose production which can produce the glucose syrup from corn or rice/ broken rice directly . 

Our new technology of glucose production process is as below :
1. Corn powder or rice powder production of glucose production process
     Use dry milling method to get corn powder or rice powder . During the powder production, there do not need any water.   

2.  Mixing of glucose production process
      Mixing corn powder or rice powder with water and enzyme to make slurry . It need enough time to make sure the dry powder can absorb enough water for soften.

3.  Liquification of glucose production process
     The slurry will be sprayed at high temperature by jet cooker . With the aid of starch enzyme and steam , the starch content in the power  will be converted into liquid dextrin .

4.  Deproteinization of glucose production process
     After liquification process ,only the starch become into liquid dextrin , the protein and other  solid impurity should be separated by filter press . After deproteinization , the liquid dextrin will go to next process and the protein feed will be left.  The protein feed is top grade protein additives for the animal feed .

5.  Saccharification of glucose production process
    The saccharification process is convert the liquid dextrin into required DE value glucose syrup with the aid of gluco-amylase .  The saccharification time is depend on the Required DE value of the glucose syrup . More higher DE required will need more longer time . 

6.  Decolorization of glucoseproduction process
     For getting clear glucose syrup , the glucose syrup need decolor.  Usually use the food grade activated carbon to mix with glucose syrup to remove the color of glucose syrup .

7.  Decarburization of glucose production process
      When the decolorization is finish , the filter process is used to separate the used actived carbon and clear glucose syrup .

8.   Ion exchange  of glucose production process
      For get impurity of glucose syrup , the Ion exchange process is need .The resin inside of the Ion exchange columns will remove the tiny foreign items and bad odor to increase the purity of glucose syrup .

9    Concentration  of glucose production process
      After Ion exchange , the glucose syrup density is low , the evaporator is used to remove the water inside of glucose to get the required DS glucose syrup . Usually it need multi-effect evaporator with single effect evaporator work together . 

10.  Finished product storage   of glucose production process
The glucose syrup which reach the required DS in the evaporation process will be pumped into final product storage tanks for storage. The final product tank can keep the glucose syrup purity before transportation.

Our new technology of  glucose syrup production from corn process is making corn flour from corn first  , then use the corn flour to produce the glucose syrup . The corn flour production is dry milling method , there is no water input and no waste water discharge . 

Compare the traditional technology, our new technology of corn glucose syrup plant have 5 advantages as below
1.  Compare with wet milling corn starch production , our corn flour dry milling production do not need any water during the production , there will not have any waste water to discharge. During the corn starch production , it need big amount water with sulfurous acid .The waste water in the corn starch plant must be pre-treatment before discharge to the government waste water treatment plant . 
2.   Complete set corn flour processing machine cost is much lower than the complete set corn starch processing machine cost . 
3.   Producing one ton glucose , our new technology can save much energy than the traditional method . 
4.   Our new technology can produce glucose syrup from corn or rice/broken rice in same plant . The customer can use two kind material to produce the glucose syrup at different time according to the price of the raw material to make more profit .

Corn syrup production equipment

High quality corn syrup  

The old technology of corn syrup production equipment is using the corn starch as raw material, the newest technology  of corn syrup production equipment can use the corn as raw material,not need convert corn starch  from corn firstly, it can be took of syrup from corns or maize.

Below is process of the new technology corn syrup production equipment during the corn syrup production:

1. Maize/Corn flour making

(1) Maize selection ; (2)Remove Germ ; (3)Corn/maize flour making

2. Continuous spray liquefaction section

(1).Mixing slurry: Add amylase and water with corn flour, and mix them in mixing tank

(2).Spray liquefaction: Heating all tanks by steam, then start Liquid ejectors and pumps. Delivery material continuously and evenly, and control flow by production capacity.

(3).High temperature treatment: Send passed material to the second Liquid ejector, and keep temperature.

3.Filtration section

(1).Filter protein and slag by Plate-and-frame filter press machine.

(2).Carry away protein and slag .

(3).Syrup inflow buffer tanks, then be sent to next step by pump.

4. Saccharification section

Cooling syrup by Heat-exchanger, then send them to Saccharification tank (mixer and coil pipe are set in Saccharification tank ) by Pumps, then add enzyme for reaction.

5. Decolonization

Carry passed syrup into Decolonization tanks(mixer and coil pipe are set in Saccharification tank.) by pump. Decolor by Activated carbon

6.Filtration section

(1).Filter protein and Activated carbon by Plate-and-frame filter press machine.

(2).Carry away protein by Bottom slot for Plate-and-frame filter press machine

(3).Unclean syrup is sent to big buffer tanks by pump.  

(4).Carry clean syrup into buffer tanks.

7. Ion exchange section

(1).Carry syrup into Ion exchange columns. Resin clean syrup in Ion exchange columns. Then carry clean syrup into buffer tanks.

(2).When Resin loses effect, stop carry syrup into Ion exchange columns, and change another Ion exchange column for work.

(3).Recover Resin: Using heat water to bush resin, then use acid fluid, and alkali fluid to bush Ion exchange columns till Resin has function.

8.Evaporation section

Evaporate syrup by Triple-concentrate of evaporator and Single-concentrate of evaporator. When syrup concentration is reach the requirement, shut down steam and stop evaporation. And carry syrup  to Final-product storage tanks .
